**Business Solutions Associate Student**:
This role will support the daily operations of the Business Solutions team by triaging and resolving service desk tickets submitted by the business. Types of requests include data maintenance, extract/transform/load (ETL), document management, and small process improvements. This role might also be involved in small projects over the term which will involve gathering system requirements, architecting/building the solution, and validating success with the business.

**Key Duties**:

- Works on specific projects assigned by the Manager of Business Solutions, which may include custom work or developing solutions using the Town's current tools. Projects may vary in scope and complexity.

**Qualifications/Skills**:

- Minimum one (1) year of completed post-secondary study in computer science, information systems, systems analysis, programming, or a related field
- Familiarity with relational databases and database design- Knowledge of various programming and markup languages
- Experience with web technologies including Oracle WebLogic, Microsoft IIS, Apache Tomcat, HTML, ASP, CSS
- Understanding of business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, and data mapping
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. Comfortable with leading meetings and group training sessions.

**Terms of Employment**:

- May 5, 2025 to August 29, 2025 (approximate dates)
- Proof of Enrollment in Post-Secondary Education

**Proof of Enrollment in Post Secondary Education**:
The Town of Ajax will accept any of the following to verify enrollment in a college or university program:

- Registrar’s letter confirming enrollment and academic eligibility for the next semester.
- Letter confirming your anticipated graduation date.
- Letter indicating that you have more credits left to complete in your current degree.

**What is Offered to Staff**:

- Rate of Pay**:$18.47 - $24.41** per hour. Rate of pay is based on the incumbent’s year of study.
- Hours of Work: This is a non-union position that works 35 hours per week. The hours of work are Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
