**Asphalt Raker / Luteman**

In this position, you are responsible for the finished product of the asphalt “mat.” Must understand and execute paving procedures while following instructions to meet the specifications of the project.

**RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO**:

- Distribute and rake asphalt material
- Match and finish joints
- Smooth and adjust surface irregularities
- Restore surface finish
- Spread asphalt to proper grade
- Perform other duties as necessary
- Ability to help operate paver and other equipment as necessary

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Must be able to work well with others and follow directions from supervisor
- Must be able to walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods of time
- Lift and handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Constant physical effort, including standing for an entire work shift of at least 8 hours or more
- Must maintain constant alertness to multiple concurrent activities on a construction site
