**We are looking for an Assistant Parts Manager to join our Team**

Our Assistant Part Manager oversees staff in the sales of Trailer parts to ensure efficient operations and to produce profitable sales for the company while building long-term customer relationships.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise staff following Maxim’s Leadership principles. This includes hiring the right staff and retaining them as well as training and motivating staff to high performance by ensuring they have the correct skills and knowledge.
- Monitors and ensures proper handling of expenses such as freight, parts supplies, and warranty write-offs etc.
- Provides sales support for sales staff (e.g. on specialized trailer parts), orders parts from vendors, invoices, and ensures wrong parts returned. Oversees daily operation of Parts store and organizes payroll for staff.
- Reads and analyzes daily parts reports (e.g. financials, daily repair shop). Charge out parts_._
- Answers internal and external customer inquiries. Sells parts to customers from Parts Counter as relief for parts staff as required. Oversees annual inventory for branch including preparation and clean-up work

**What will you need to succeed in this role?**
- 3+ years’ experience with heavy-duty trailer Parts Counter or Parts Sales.
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Leadership skills - motivating, coaching, training
- Ability to work with interruptions in a fast-paced work environment
- Numbers-orientation and attention to detail
- Mechanical aptitude to understand parts
- Ability to lift/carry 50 pounds without assistance
