Your role
**Responsibilities**:
**Loan servicing**
- Manage and reconcile the day-to-day financial operations for the loans under his/her responsibility and perform various follow-ups with other members of the Operations team as well as the Accounting, Treasury, Real Estate Finance teams, etc.
- Analyze transactions and determine the required accounting treatment.
- Work in conjunction with the analysts to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the financial data in the loan management system throughout the evolution of the loan including renewals, extensions, etc.
- Prepare monthly statements (invoices) and participate in the review of annual mortgage statements.
- Respond to various loan related requests such as statement of account preparation, borrower auditor requests, etc.
- Follow up on interest and other reserves
- Prepare various analyses on loans including those related to bank acceptances
- Prepare reconciliations
- Participate in the development and documentation of processes related to new products and maintain procedures and guides related to the position's activities
- Participate in various information requests including those related to audits
- Participate in initiatives under the responsibility of the Operations team
- Propose suggestions for process improvements for the activities under his/her responsibility
**Insurance**
- Follow up on the proof of insurance renewals for financed properties, coordinate the review of policies with the insurance consultant and promptly enter the information into the loan management system.
- Escalate delinquencies in accordance with procedures.
- Prepare payment requests for insurance consultant fees, ensuring that the amounts billed are in accordance with the contracted pricing with the provider.
**Profile**:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or other related training
- Two (2) to three (3) years of relevant experience
- Good knowledge of the Office Suite and advanced knowledge of Excel
- Knowledge of the PLM system, an asset
- Experience in the banking industry (mortgage loans and syndication an asset)
- Strong analytical skills, rigor and autonomy
- Ability to work in a team on complex files
- Customer-oriented (internal and external)
- Excellent organizational, time management and priority-setting skills
- Ability to perform multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change
- Ability to challenge processes in order to improve them
- Superior communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to present and recommend ideas
- Excellent communication skills in French and an advanced level of English (oral and written)
- As Otéra operates across Canada and in the United States, the person will be required to interact with our various teams based in Montreal, Toronto and New York.
