**About the role**

The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible and accountable for placing orders, receiving, recording and organizing all incoming and outgoing stock in the cafeteria. The Inventory Control Coordinator will be working closely with the chefs and food prep team under the supervision of the Operations Supervisor and Cafeteria Manager and will help out in various areas of the cafeteria as required based on experience.

**How you will make an impact**:

- Preparing and placing orders for products for weekly menu offering and other items as required.
- Reviewing and researching costs to stay within budget and maximize cost savings
- Maintaining relationships with suppliers and developing new potential suppliers.
- Receiving orders and placing all incoming stock on the shelves in appropriate storage areas and fridges. Daily data entry of all incoming stock by scrutinizing and reconciling invoices for receipts and tracking credits
- Daily data entry of all outgoing stock by scrutinizing the requisitions of the chef and food preparation team.
- Daily distribution of any perishable products to be incorporated into the menu by the chefs.
- Ensuring that the stock room and fridges are kept neatly organized and clean.
- Compiling adhoc statistical reports for analysis.
- Taking and recording of month end inventory.
- Preparing and maintaining inventory budgets/costs for special events.

**We’re looking for someone with**
- Food purchasing experience for a fast paced, high volume Cafeteria or restaurant
- Strong skills in Excel (spreadsheets).
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Detail and results oriented
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

**It’d be great if you have**
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills and positive attitude
- Time management skills and the ability to multitask.
- Food service or chef experience an asset
