Voila.ca is a new team dedicated to launching and scaling Sobeys new e-commerce grocery home delivery business. This is a rare opportunity to join a start-up within a larger organization. **Overview**:
Ensure accuracy between products and physical quantities in the building. Ensures accurate inventory levels at all times and provides relative reporting to enable accurate product ordering. Investigate and report all loss prevention irregularities and make appropriate adjustments if necessary. Actively contribute to a positive, safe and productive work environment.
- Ensure quality and accuracy of every order - acts as a professional to create superb customer experience with personal accountability
- Rotate through all areas of the distribution center, both ambient and cold (0 - 5℃) sections, expecting to work in both areas
- Manage the flow of incoming shipments using the appointment system and software program, and ensure order fulfillment
- Perform automated and manual cycle counts in all areas of the distribution center, including ambient, refrigeration and freezer (-23℃)
- Communicate, support and collaborate with operations, replenishment, delivery and customer service departments in a respective manner
- Investigate inventory and quality issues to maintain system efficiency and accuracy
- Immediately recall the product and purge the system of product that has reached its shelf life
- Monitor system reports to ensure there are no product availability issues with outbound operations
- Use automated inventory management stations to adjust system and physical quantities in storage bins
- Use manual sweeping technology and mechanical handling equipment where applicable
- Any other task as needed

**Job Requirements**:

- Knowledge of or desire to learn a warehouse management system
- Ensure inventory accuracy and perform work with integrity
- Attention to detail
- Able to work in ambient, cold and freezer environments
- Experience in a distribution center/fulfillment environment an asset
- Experience in a retail environment with customer service a plus
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical labor, including frequent bending, lifting and reaching
- Occasionally lift more than 50 lbs (23kg)
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Possible exposure to extreme temperatures
- Vigilance towards other people and vehicles
