Edmonton, Canada LJ Welding Automation Full time

**About us**

Would you like to be a part of a team that designs and builds machines used to manufacture rockets for space exploration, automated fabrication of wind towers, or robotic welding of MRI scanners across North America and other countries around the globe?

**As a Purchaser you will**
- Evaluate bids for materials, equipment, and supplies, and select vendors for goods and services.
- Develop new vendor relationships to meet supply chain needs.
- Maintain vendor database and document vendor information.
- Provide purchasing support through internal and external communication.
- Provide trend analysis, problem resolution, and change management.
- Monitor and report inventory levels, stock obsolescence, and inventory variances.
- Generate purchase orders.
- Perform other purchasing related duties as assigned.
- Work with engineering to maintaining BOMs.
- Follow up with orders placed, checking ETA's and complete exchanges if required.
- Ensure shop supplies/materials are regularly ordered and maintained.
- Attend company meetings
- department, safety, process improvement.

- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude with high energy and engaging level of enthusiasm with the ability to work independently.
- Proven work experience as a purchaser, Procurement or Buyer with an industrial OEM manufacture.
- Hands on experience with ERP and other vendor systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office with the emphasis on strong computer skills
- An in-depth understanding of modern buying practices and principles
