Refer to the "How to apply" section if you require a disability-related accommodation. **What can I expect to do in this role?**: In this role, you will: - Evaluate proposed and existing enforcement regulations, policies and programs - Provide technical program knowledge and develop sector specific standards and guidelines - Work collaboratively with health and safety partners and stakeholders to develop prevention strategies and promote outreach programs - Lead and/or participate on provincial occupational health and safety program and policy development projects **How do I qualify?**: **Technical Knowledge**: - You have expert knowledge of Ministry strategic objectives/directions, legislation and regulations, applicable codes and standards. - You have knowledge of technical, scientific, social, economic, and political considerations in assigned portfolios. **Policy and Program Development and Risk Management Knowledge**: - You have knowledge of policy and program development principles/techniques and government policy development and approval processes. - You have knowledge of loss control management, risk management and assessment theory and principles - You have knowledge of government planning processes, program performance measures and program effectiveness criteria to enable planning and development of programs, strategies, standards and policies. **Research and Analytical Skills**: - You have demonstrated research, qualitative/quantitative analyses and synthesis to assess program effectiveness and efficiency. - You know statistical methods, economic theories, information systems and systems programming to access and interpret data, support research and policy/program development activities. - You can conduct environmental scans, risk assessments and analyze directions, trends, standards and policies for health and safety within the health care sector to interpret findings and develop options/recommendations to address impacts. **Leadership, Project Management and Computer Skills**: - You are a proven leader and have experience managing and leading projects including developing terms of reference, timelines and desired outcomes. - You have demonstrated project management and time management skills to lead or participate in complex project management assignments which are high profile and sensitive **Communication, Consultation and Negotiation Skills**: - You have proven communication, presentation and consultation skills to liaise with stakeholders, balance competing interests, and provide information at coroner's inquests and court proceedings, deliver presentations and prepare briefing materials and issue notes. - You have negotiation, conflict-resolution and consensus-building skills to reconcile different positions and persuade clients/stakeholders to adopt alternative response to resolve problems/conflicts. **Additional Information**: **Address**: - 1 Temporary, duration up to 12 months, 505 University Ave, Toronto, Toronto Region or 119 King St W, Hamilton, West Region or 217 York St, London, West Region or 4273 King St E, Kitch
