**About the Role**:
As a Trading Strategy Analyst at Pinnacle, you’ll be at the heart of our automated trading systems - the analytical mind behind the models and the bridge between development and trading. You’ll help design, refine, and implement trading strategies that enhance system performance and profitability. Working closely with our R&D, Development, and Sportsbook teams, you’ll play a key role in shaping how our trading automation evolves and delivers value.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and prototype new trading models and features based on market analysis, backtesting results, and emerging opportunities in sports betting markets.
- Conduct systematic research into alternative modeling approaches, data sources, and strategy frameworks to expand the capabilities of automated trading systems.
- Provide sport-specific domain knowledge and strategic feedback to R&D on game models.
- Collaborate with sportsbook stakeholders to optimize current automated trading behaviour and ensure trading integrity.
- Evaluate and prioritize issues and ideas based on business value and potential impact
- Help guide the execution of fixes and improvements across automation and trading platforms, and support smooth and timely release cycles
- Maintain accurate and accessible logging of trading automation behaviours.

**Preferred Qualifications**

**Valuable**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience with, or advanced knowledge of, Sports Betting or Trading.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively coordinate across Development, R&D, and Sportsbook teams.
- Proven ability to assess and prioritize technical work based on business impact, trading performance metrics, and resource constraints in a fast-paced environment.

**Useful**:

- Experience using ticketing systems such as JIRA.
- Data analysis skills using R.
- Working knowledge of SQL.
- Familiarity with Splunk or similar monitoring tools.
