**Responsibilities**:
Participates in training evaluation to improve course effectiveness. Directs the work of a group of apprentices, participating in identifying training needs, and conducting training to update trades staff.
Provides technical advice and direction to maintenance staff on matters relating to maintenance and repair procedures.
Investigates fleet maintenance problems, determining the cause and effect, making recommendations to resolve problems, and following up on training.
Represents Coast Mountain Bus Company (CMBC) on matters related to legal vehicle checks, accident investigations and technical matters, providing information to internal departments and external agencies.
Participates in the preparation of standards and specifications for transit vehicles, equipment and facilities, performing preservice inspections on new vehicles.

EXPERIENCE:
Position requires three (3) years experience in a commercial vehicle repair and maintenance environment to obtain a broad general knowledge of all aspects of vehicle troubleshooting and repair techniques. Requires up to one (1) year in the position to become familiar with CMBC's organization, maintenance policies and procedures, training requirements, developing and implementing training programs, and the various types of vehicles and equipment in service.
**Other Information**:
Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.
**Work Schedule**:
37.5 hours per week.
**Work Designation**:
Resident
This position works predominately on-site.
**Rate of Pay**:
Salary $117,523 - $141,594 per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).
