**Position Title**: Intermediate Technology Specialist, Quality (Quality Assurance Analyst, Intermediate)
**Reports To**: Technology Manager
**Department**: IT - Savings and Retirement
**Term**: Temporary Full-Time, Twelve (12) Month Contract
**Work Arrangements**: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.
**What you will be doing**:
- Help to establish an automated testing framework within Core Systems
- Create and execute Test Strategies, Test Plans and Test Cases.
- Perform automated and manual testing.
- Lead/Assist with test analysis and participate in technical analysis meetings.
- Identify and document defects until resolution.
- Work on production support tickets to ensure their resolution and that it meets our business partners requirements.
- Effectively communicate and explain defects to team members, assist team in bug fixes.
- Provide technical guidance to peers and/or end-users regarding technologies that enable continuous delivery of shared solutions.
- Assist in the maintenance of existing internal processes and quality system management documentation to uphold quality Standards.
- Inspect systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvements to workflow and enhanced efficiencies.
- Participate in on call rotation for off-hours support of nightly batch processing
**What you will bring**:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, College diploma or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years of experience with Software testing practices such as test planning, test execution and defect tracking.
- 2 years of experience in test automation.
- Sound knowledge of QA practices, tools, methodology and processes.
- Relevant experience with testing tools such as Azure DevOps and automation tools such as Selenium, Postman, Robot Framework, Playwright, etc.
- Knowledge of C#, JavaScript, Python
- Experience with XML file manipulation, SQL and GITHUB.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative.
- Awareness and understanding of cultural diversity.
- Experience in Agile and knowledge of CI/CD will be an asset.
- Have or working towards QA Certification considered an asset.
- Experience with Enterprise Job Scheduling apps, like ActiveBatch, an asset
