We continue to grow and today are looking for a committed, talented, star to join our team as our Trade Finance Analyst.

**Position Summary/Objective**:
As the Trade Finance Analyst (“TFA”), you will confer with Sales to ensure the trade investment is within the corporate AOP objective and that it enhances the performance of the business. Focusing primarily on trade spend planning, monitoring, reconciliation and reporting, this role will highly collaborate with the Finance team as well as to the Canadian and US Commercial Sales team.

This role will also work with the Commercial Sales team as part of the annual planning process to provide trade and profitability insights to support of customer plans across all categories/channels to maximize growth and price realization within our competitive environment.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Monitor and analyze trade promotions, ensuring accurate accounting and reporting of promotional trade spend with customers
- Maintain customer pricing conditions in SAP to reflect latest trade spend information; monitor and review monthly
- Manage and create all components of the trade accruals to ensure investment is properly reported and recorded in SAP. This ensures financial liabilities are properly recorded against commitments
- Maintain pricing and deals with Sales and Customer service to ensure proper invoicing including off invoice deductions
- Monitor and review the accuracy of the accruals vs. deductions by customer. Assist to monitor trends related to lead time changes that cause pricing & spend mismatch related to shipments
- Work with Key Account Managers & Regional Sales Managers to evaluate and optimize trade investment and ensure trade investment productivity
- Review variable promotional spend on an on-going basis to be able to provide insight on the variance between forecasted spend vs. the actual spend, including detailing the drivers of major variances
- Monitor and ensure adherence to the pricing approval process by the business
- Provide process improvements within areas of responsibility and actively participate in new system implementations and upgrades
- Build strong working relationships with regional sales managers, KAM’s and the accounting and finance team
- Period end close activities as related to trade spend, including reconciliation of general ledgers tied to trade accounts & development of monthly trade reports
- Conduct quarterly Trade reviews with Sales to review trade investment & compliance, monitoring for risks and opportunities
- Manage trade spend forecast process to align to annual budget expectations
- Special projects and other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting, or a related field
- Related work experience, preferably in a manufacturing/CPG environment
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
- 2+ years of experience in financial analysis & reporting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
- Strong computer skills, intermediate level or above for Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience working with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau & SAC BI would be an asset
- 2+ years of experience in trade spend analysis, sales analysis, or trade marketing analysis in the CPG industry would be an asset
