**Job Title**: Accounts Payable Coordinator
**Location**: Delta, BC - Head Office
**Shift**: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm
**Job Overview**:
The Accounts Payable Coordinator is primarily responsible for ensuring efficient, timely, and accurate payments of accounts as well maintaining records of payments using MS Dynamics NAV. This role builds relationships both internally and externally with subcontractors and vendors.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Working with subcontractors for accounts payable related activities including processing invoices, disbursement and expense reimbursement requests while ensuring compliance with accounting practices and regulations.
- Ensuring subcontractors’ pay is accurate and on time.
- Act as the point of contact to resolve any subcontractor inquiries on payment discrepancies and answer them promptly and professionally.
- Maintain high level of accuracy in input, filing and maintenance of vendor files. Accurately import data from external systems as required.
- Reconcile vendor statements of account and liaise with vendors for documentation as required.
- Create and maintain a variety of reports and spreadsheets for senior management.
- Ensure credit is received for outstanding memos; issue cessation of payments or purchase order amendments.
- Updating spreadsheets for Repairs and Maintenance; posting credit memos against subcontractors and sending letters for deductions.
- Supporting the Finance team with period close processing and other ad hoc reporting and analysis, as required
**Professional Qualifications, Experience and Skills**:
- Diploma or degree in Accounting
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
- Proficient user of Microsoft Dynamics NAV
- General knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Flexibility and willingness to perform a variety of accounting support duties
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment and understand the sense of urgency
- Highly professional and ability to work with confidential matters: maintain a high level of confidentiality when managing sensitive documentation.
