As an A/P Accountant at Prism Construction, you will help manage relationships with hundreds of construction partners and your role will be critical to the company’s success.

**Position Title**: A/P Accountant

**Position Type**: Full time

Your role at Prism will include:

- Entering contract invoices and expenses
- Processing cheques and payments
- Preparing reports for sub-trade contracts
- Collecting sub-trade contracts
- Reviewing and processing hourly payroll
- Managing holdback accounts
- Preparing year-end reports for external accountants
- Finding ways to improve processes
- Assisting others in the department
- Monitoring corporate credit cards limits and entering receipts and payment
- Coordinating with accountants, project managers, vendors, and management
- Reconciling vendor statements and following-up to resolve discrepancies
- Other duties as assigned
- You are detail oriented, organized, and able to multi-task to meet tight deadlines throughout the month
- You enjoy multi tasking and you thrive in a busy environment
- You are self-motivated, results driven, and prefer working in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- You have at least a diploma in accounting
- You have a minimum of 2 years experience working in the construction industry
- You have an advanced working knowledge of Excel
- You possess effective written and interpersonal communication skills
- You have a “can do” attitude and the willingness to be part of a growing and changing company

Experience in Sage 300 for Construction and Real Estate (formerly Sage Timberline) is an asset.
