Description
You are a safety-focused Asphalt Plant Operator with a minimum of 3 years of experience. In this role, you will work alongside our Highway Construction team on diverse paving projects across Alberta. As a collaborative team player, you prioritize safety and readily assist wherever needed.
**Job Description**:
Essential Responsibilities:
- Operate the asphalt plant safely and efficiently
- Utilize computer skills to manage plant operations effectively
- Conduct regular equipment maintenance and ensure smooth functionality
- Monitor operations to maintain consistent production, complete daily checks, and keep accurate plant logs
- Comply with and uphold Ledcor’s Health & Safety programs
Qualifications:
- Previous experience managing or operating an asphalt plant
- Successful completion of drug and alcohol testing is mandatory
- A valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract are required
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices in daily work activities
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Mechanical aptitude is a strong asset
Work Conditions:
- This is a field-based position from May to November 2025
- Flexibility to work on projects throughout Alberta is required
- Shift rotations involve 10-14-hour workdays, including nights and overtime
- A living-out allowance of $135 per day is provided
