The County of Stettler No. 6 is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Supervisor - Road Maintenance to join our Operations team. This hands-on leadership position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the daily maintenance of County roads and rights-of-way, including grader beats and roadside mowing operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and coordinate grader and roadside mowing operations.
- Operate heavy equipment (grader, mower, truck, dozer, scraper, track hoe, etc.) to support daily maintenance.
- Plan and assign daily work, equipment, and routes for maintenance activities.
- Conduct inspections of roads, ditches, and rights-of-way to identify maintenance needs.
- Monitor work progress and adjust priorities as required.
- Train, orient, and mentor staff in safe and effective work methods and equipment operation.
- Conduct hazard assessments, safety meetings, and equipment inspections.
- Prepare and submit reports, timesheets, and maintenance documentation.
- Support construction or hauling projects as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
- Five (5) years of progressive experience in road construction and maintenance.
- Two (2) years in a supervisory or lead hand role preferred.
- Ability to operate and maintain heavy equipment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Valid Class 1 driver’s licence.
