A member of the Rosewood Hotel Georgia Event Operations team, the Banquet Server will play a key role in consistently providing an engaging level of warm and genuine service to our guests. Reporting directly to the Event Operations Management team, the Banquet Server is responsible for the setting, serving and tearing down of the banquet functions as directed by the banquet event orders and departmental standards. They will also be responsible assisting in the maintenance of the Banquet area and equipment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards, as well as maintenance and use of equipment.
- Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests’ requests.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages brands and descriptions available in Banquets.
- Maintain complete knowledge of designated glassware and garnishes for drinks.
- Ability to bartend efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, preparation method, ingredients, sauces.
- Maintain complete knowledge and strictly abide by liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons and drunk driving.
- Carries out “back work” - ensures items such as water, cream, bread and butter are prepared for function.
- Serves function (food and beverages) and cleans out function room.
- All other duties as required.

**Skills/Knowledge Required**:

- Must be able to perform job functions with speed and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and follow directions thoroughly.
- Must be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.
- Must be highly motivated and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and work cohesively with co-workers as part of a dynamic team.
- Must display excellent attention to detail and has a proven ability to work under mínimal supervision during high volume situations.
- Must demonstrate initiative, with the ability to anticipate guests’ needs.
- Knowledge of function preparation and room set-ups will be considered a strong asset

**Physical Requirements**:
Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting 75 pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.

**Qualification Standards**:
**Education**:High School Diploma required

**Experience**:Minimum of 2 year previous experience in a similar capacity, preferably in a luxury to ultra-luxury hotel environment.
