Vancouver Christian School, a thriving K-12 independent school in Vancouver, BC, is seeking a passionate and experienced Elementary School Principal to lead our dynamic elementary school community. About Us
With a strong history of 75 years in Christian education, VCS serves a diverse community of 940 students, including 575 elementary (K-7) students. Our mission is to prepare students for lives of transformation and service through excellent Christ-centered education that is woven throughout all aspects of school life.
Position Overview
As the Elementary School Principal, you will report directly to the Superintendent and lead a dedicated team of vice principals, teachers, and support staff. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational culture and ensuring that our programs meet the unique needs of elementary students. This position begins in August 2025.
**Key Responsibilities Include**:
Providing visionary educational leadership and advocating for elementary education within a K-12 Christian school framework.
Modeling an active faith life as a follower of Jesus and ensuring the integration of Christian worldview and heart-forming practices into all aspects of school life.
Fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional development and excellence in Christian teaching practices.
Engaging with students, families, and staff to create a supportive and connected school community.
Managing budgets and resources effectively while adhering to legal and regulatory standards.
Who You Are
You are a professing Christian, an active participant in your Church community, with a commitment to VCS’s mission and values. You hold a Master’s degree in educational leadership (or an equivalent combination of experience and qualifications) and possess a BC teaching certificate (or the ability to obtain one by September 2025). With a minimum of four years (preferred) of recent administrative experience, you demonstrate exceptional leadership, strong interpersonal skills, and a deep understanding of the developmental needs of elementary students.

Salary Range
$109,926 - $141,600 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
