**Position Overview**

We are currently looking to fill casual positions for Housekeeping Aides at New Vista Society located in Burnaby, BC.

**Detailed Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Perform routine cleaning and maintain assigned areas, including resident rooms, bathrooms, serveries, and common areas
- Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors
- Perform daily cleaning and disinfecting of all high contact surfaces such as equipment, toilets, sinks, and furniture.
- Emptying trash and recycling bins
- Perform discharge cleaning and disinfecting on resident rooms
- Transports or moves items such as furniture
- Restocking supplies such as toiletries and cleaning products
- Reporting any maintenance issues or damages to the supervisor
- Adhering to all health and safety guidelines
- Performs other related duties as assigned

**Skills**:

- Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks
- Time management skills to ensure efficient completion of tasks within designated timeframes
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if required
- Ability to deal with other effectively
- Ability to operate related equipment

**Qualifications**:

- Grade 10 or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Experience in a Care Facility/Acute Care Setting preferred

**Note**:Prior experience as a housekeeper or in a similar role is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.

**Job Type: Casual 07:00-15:00/14:30-21:30**

Pay: $24.34 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
