The Ministry of Children & Family Development is responsible for delivering programs and services to support positive and healthy outcomes for children, youth, young adults and their families across BC. Service Delivery Division includes approximately 3,800 employees working in community offices across the province, specialized residential centres and 24/7 facilities, delivering and supporting face-to-face, centralized and virtual services across seven service lines: early childhood development, children and youth with support needs, child and youth mental health, child protection and family support, guardianship and adoption, youth justice, and helping youth transition to adulthood and adult services. The SPPE team thrives on collaboration and values diverse ideas and a growth mindset. We are a small team of professionals dedicated to supporting leaders and frontline staff across the province serving vulnerable children, youth, young adults and families. **The Role** The Branch Coordinator plays a key role in the smooth functioning of the branch and works with a diverse group of staff across Service Delivery Division. This position provides a variety of financial and administrative supports that are essential to the high-quality delivery of the branch’s services. To thrive in this position, you'll need to have a keen eye for detail, be comfortable handling sensitive and confidential matters with care, stay organized in a busy setting, and communicate clearly with a diverse range of personnel. If you enjoy working in fast-paced environments and can adapt to changing priorities, this role will be a great fit for you. **Qualifications**: - Certificate or coursework in business or office administration and 6 months related experience; OR - Secondary School graduation (Dogwood, GED) and 1-year related experience; OR - Evergreen and 2 years related experience; OR - An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. - Related experience includes the following: - Experience leading others. - Experience working in an office setting, preparing and editing a variety of documents (e.g. PowerPoint, briefing and/or meeting materials). - One or more years of experience with financial activities (e.g. accounts payable, purchasing). - One or more years of experience working with eApprovals. - One or more years of experience working with the CLIFF correspondence tracking system. - One or more years of experience working directly with executive offices (e.g. Assistant Deputy Minister’s Office or Deputy Minister’s Office). - One or more years of experience working in the BC Public Service social sector. - Self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, status or non-status, Métis, or Inuit). **About this Position**: An eligibility list may be established to fill both current and/or future permanent vacancies.
