The position administers the leaves related to Maternity/Parental, General Leaves, Special Leaves, Leaves of Absence and Retirement under the BC General Employee Main Agreement and BC Employment Standards Act. This position provides written and verbal communication to employees on the status of the leave request. This position liaises with Senior Management in gathering information to support leave requirements and provides policy interpretation and reporting. The position maintains accurate seniority records based on employee events such as Vacation, Special Leave, Leave of Absence, Maternity/Parental Leaves. Eligibility is based on the Main Agreement and Excluded Terms and Conditions. The position creates and maintains employee records in an integrated Human Resource and Payroll system.
