- Responsibilities
1. System Administration:
o Manage and maintain servers, workstations, and network infrastructure.
o Monitor system performance, perform regular maintenance, and troubleshoot issues.
o Backup and restore data to ensure data integrity and availability.
o Ensure system availability and performance through proactive monitoring and issue resolution.
o Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard the organization’s information assets
o Respond to and manage security incidents and breaches, coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
o Keep up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends and best practices to continuously improve security posture.
2. Compliance and Documentation:
o Ensure systems comply with relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies.
o Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, changes, and security measures.
o Provide training and support to staff on security best practices and system usage.
3. Collaboration and Support:
o Work closely with other IT staff to design and implement solutions that meet business needs.
o Provide technical support and guidance to users, resolving issues in a timely manner.
o Participate in the planning and execution of IT projects and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience:
o Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role 2-3 years.
o Strong experience in cybersecurity practices and technologies.
o Hands-on experience with system installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Skills:
o Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and server management.
o Familiarity with security tools and technologies (e.g., intrusion detection systems, antivirus software).
o Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Attributes:
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
