**Job Overview**

At Mackenzie Smiles Dentistry, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and professional environment for our patients. We are looking for a reliable, flexible, and friendly Floater Dental Assistant to join our team and provide support across different days as needed.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures
- Sterilize and organize instruments, maintain infection control standards
- Prepare treatment rooms for patients
- Take and process x-rays (if HARP certified)
- Provide excellent patient care and comfort
- Support front desk duties as needed (appointment flow, patient coordination)
- Adapt to different tasks depending on the day’s needs

**Duties**
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a sterile environment
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for use
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed
- Record patient medical histories and update treatment plans in the system
- Provide education to patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Manage patient scheduling, including appointments for orthodontics and pediatrics
- Utilize dental software such as Dentrix and Epic for patient records management
- Support the front office with receptionist duties when necessary

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred
- Proficient in using Abeldent or similar dental practice management software
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and staff
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $26.00 per hour
