Québec, Canada Atlific Hotels Full time

Atlific Hotels is currently looking for an experienced **Hospitality Purchasing Agent** (whom would be based in the Montreal Corporate office). Reporting directly to the Corporate Purchasing Director and will be assisting the purchasing team as needed:
**Job responsibilities include, but not limited to**:

- Research potential vendors
- Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
- Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
- Issue Purchase orders
- Liaise with hotel locations and vendors relating to operational and capital related purchases
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery
- Co-ordinate logistics related to purchase for assigned projects and purchase orders
- Review quality of purchased products
- Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) and maintain database
- Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
- Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
- Attend tradeshow and exhibitions to stay up-to-date with industry trends
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements and skills**:

- 2-5 years of experience in hotel or a related field preferred
- Proven work experience as a Purchasing Agentor similar role
- Capable of juggling multiple projects and meeting deadlines
- Extremely strong customer service, organization, imitative, problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power-point
- Hands-on experience with purchasing software (Solomon or other)
- Demonstrate self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm with strong negotiation skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good knowledge of Hospitality vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
- Understanding of supply chain procedures
- Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
- Bi-lingual (English/French) is preferred
