As part of SNC-Lavalin’s Engineering Services group, the Airports team specializes in providing a full range of planning and engineering services for airport and heliport infrastructure projects to local, national and international clients. Projects range from small assignments, such as runway extension studies and apron expansions, to airport master plans and taxiway and runway infrastructure rehabilitation projects.

The Airport team is looking for a COOP Student to join our growing team. This position reports to the Airports Director and is based in Vancouver and in Edmonton. The Airports team currently operates a hybrid working model with our staff splitting their working week between working from home and in the office.

**Responsibilities will include**:
To perform this role successfully, the Civil Co-op will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

- Responsible to draft in AutoCAD, based on designer’s markups;
- Issue drawings and other documents as directed/required;
- Participate in-site inspections at various airports on Airside.
- Draft reports and presentations on activities performed.

**Requirements**:

- Must be actively participating in the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering;
- Experience in AutoCAD drafting software;
- Experience in site inspections;
- Be able to effectively communicate and coordinate with other members of the team;
- Be proactive and take self-initiative;
- Have the ability to handle several tasks and projects at once;
- Strong understanding of health and safety;
- Fast learner, with the ability to adapt.

Salary will be commensurate with your experience.
