**Job description**

We have immediate full-time employment opportunities for Assistant Supervisors in our sushi production division. Assistant Supervisors support current Supervisor's in their positions within the team, with the intent of training to fulfill a future Supervisor position when it is available.

Supervisors are the opening and closing managers-on-duty that facilitate our daily production activities. Supervisors are responsible for the day-to-day duties such as ensuring that product is up to company/client standards, obtaining the stock required to complete orders, monitoring employee behaviour, mitigating waste, training of new employees, etc.

Morning Assistant Supervisors are required to be present between approximately 730am until 430pm. Evening supervisors regular hours are 3pm until 1am. These are estimates only and a flexible schedule is a must, as occasional special orders may require earlier/later/additional hours.

New supervisors will be trained by shadowing current supervisors/management in order to get a direct understanding of the duties required to fulfill the role properly to the standards expected.

**Duties**:
Ensuring that daily production objectives/orders are met to company standards

Organize workflow and delegate tasks to enable a high productivity level

Assisting with the training and scheduling of employees alongside the management team

Assisting in the development of new processes and procedures to increase product quality

Monitoring inventory/facility to verify the stock/cleanliness for production

Completing Quality Control paperwork/procedures

**Requirements**:
Have previous experience supervising in some capacity, as the management of others’ performance (quality, productivity, discipline) is a critical component of the role.

Be reliable with your attendance and time.

Have good communication skills (written, verbal, basic math)

Be able to handle the cold, with the standard temperature being around 4 degrees, with some locations as low as -20.

Be physically able to regularly handle at minimum 50 pounds, as gathering inventory and moving stock is a daily requirement.

Be comfortable with cleaning, as supervisors are expected to lead by example and clean the facility alongside staff when necessary.

Be capable of learning all roles within the production team to fill any position as needed and to be able to train others.

Basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel

Ensuring workers are adhering to the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
- Pay: To be discussed
- Day shift hours: approximately 730am-430pm
- Evening shift hours: approximately 3pm-1am
- No experience or knowledge of sushi/Japanese culture is required
