**Description:
- Permanent Full Time- We are looking for a **_Manager, Communications_**
- Reporting to the AVP, People, Culture and Executive Communications, you’ll manage enterprise-wide communications supporting Human Resources and functional teams that have direct impact on employee experience. Your primary role will be to develop and execute internal communications for national audiences as well as lead and develop an Associate Manager. Your understanding of industry trends in communications, particularly related to employee/customer experience, are complemented by outstanding skills in relationship management, planning and content development that will complement and strengthen our high-performing team. - You will be an active contributor on our People, Culture and Executive Communications team leadership team, collaborating with peers and the Assistant Vice-President in the delivery of consistent strategic communications aligned to our employee experience and executive communications goals.
- Develop communication strategies and plans for specific programs/initiatives, using a forward-thinking, holistic approach to anticipate potential issues and develop contingency plans.
- Present strategic solutions to business partners to illustrate concepts and gain feedback; anticipate potential issues and proactively address them.
- Forge strong relationships with the broader Communication leadership team as well as leaders within HR and functional teams you support to ensure delivery of consistent and clear communications across the company..
- Lead your team in the delivery of strategic and tactical communication with guidance and support, coaching from a big picture perspective aligned with business strategy and our company brand.
- Explore new ideas, methodologies, and alternative ways to reach outcomes as part of our broader team
- Lead and/or support team efforts to address problems and recommend solutions
- Collaborate with other Communications team members on creative solutions to meet project goals and schedules.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members to ensure consistent messages, positioning, timing and language for various internal and external audiences.
- Manage projects to deliver on communication plans and timelines.
**What you will bring**
- Completion of a post-secondary degree relating to communications, and at least 7 years of related experience. A combination of education and work experience will also be considered.
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills and ability to work well with a national team in different locations.
- Experience leading, managing and coaching the development of team members.
- Demonstrated comfort with ambiguity and flexibility to adapt to a changing environment.
- Demonstrated relationship management skills at senior levels of the organization.
- Forward thinking, a problem-solver with project management skills and the ability to execute strategic plans.
- Ability to effectively manage and deliver multiple projects in a quality and timely manner, and under pressure.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and a sense of urgency
- Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information appropriately
**_Given the size and scope of our organization, we have the flexibility for this position to be located in the following office locations: London, Toronto, Winnipeg_**
- The base salary for this position is between **$74,500****:
- $137,900** annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
