Reporting to the President & CEO, this role requires outstanding leadership, strategic planning, critical thinking and communication skills as part of the senior management team in a rapidly growing business.

**Responsibilities**
- Process owner for accurate financial reporting, including month/year-end closing, full cycle accounting, operational functions such as AP, AR, Treasury and Payroll.
- Direct and complete financial statements, business plan, budget proposals and forecast updates.
- Develop key performance metrics and work with leadership team for alignment with business direction and vision.
- Implement performance measures and financial targets with department heads
- Perform sensitivity analysis and highlight risks to financial plans
- Publish internal management reports and scorecard progression with forecast.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide advisory views on all matters relating to financial management and accounting topics.
- Support contract negotiations and investment decisions.
- Establish governance framework, implement internal controls to protect financial integrity.
- Perform all due diligence requirements for parent company consolidation.
- Compliance with regulatory reporting and filing requirements, including GST/HST, withholding, PD7A, T4’s, WSIB, EHT.
- Guide business owners through system transformation and policy rollouts by championing an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
- Lead the finance team, including hiring, training, and development.
- Advocate and pursue best practices and efficiency opportunities in finance.
- Facilitate information exchange, communication and exposure to the Board.
- Act as the key contact during financial audits and related business initiatives.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a leadership role working in a construction or service delivery environment
- CPA in good standing
- Proven experience in managing financial and operational reporting, full cycle accounting, business plan and forecasting under US GAAP
- Expertise in revenue recognition, lease accounting, financial risk assessment, development of internal controls and audits
- Demonstrated ability to present complex financial information to executives and non-finance Board stakeholders
- Skilled in driving cross functional efforts to improve performance metrics and supporting project excellence
- Governmental and regulatory reporting experience
- ERP experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Business Central is an asset
- Proven ability to develop, motivate and engage staff effectively
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Team player with a growth mindset
