Finance Lead

The **Finance Lead** is the head of the Finance and Accounting department will play an instrumental role in the growth and development of the company. Reporting to the CEO, the Finance Lead will provide leadership, coaching, and supervision to our operations, drive strategic business decisions, and support business strategies as it relates to financial controls, financial statements and reports. We're looking for a proven strategic financial leader who can strategically identify areas of opportunity, and collaborate to help carry projects from conception through execution. This is a full-time, permanent role with health care + benefits.

**Responsibilities for Finance Lead**
- Oversee the full P&L and understand all the levers to improve our approach to balancing growth vs. profitability
- Deep-dive into complex operational questions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to uncover the best solutions
- Be the source of truth for financial reporting and forecasting, and financial planning for the business
- Provide leadership, direction and management of the finance team
- Advise on long-term business and financial planning
- Directing accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
- Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, overseeing the preparation of all monthly and quarterly financial reporting and analysis.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting
- Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior leadership
- Support project analysis, validation of plans, and ad hoc requests
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
- Prepare budgets, monitor Actual vs Budget, prepare analysis
- Track and ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations
- Review and approve costing sheet, ensure all the sales have proper profit.
- Prepare monthly bank reports and meet bank requirements (Balance sheet/ Income statement/ cash flow/ bank covenant/ bank margin calculation/ A/R & A/P aging reports etc.)
- Reconcile balance sheet items, prepare balance sheet items lead sheets (Such as prepaid expenses schedule/ Fixed assets schedule/ Match A/R and A/P subledger and GL / Reconcile Accrual accounts, etc.)
- Involve Insurance renewal, manage business risks and insurance requirements
- Understand government grant policy, ensure new or existing grants are applied to on time

**Qualifications for Finance Lead**
- Chartered Accountant (CPA/CA) with at least 10 years of progressive financial management experience
- Strong management skills, ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers.
- Energetic, flexible, collaborative, proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical finance and administration initiatives.
- Exceptional communications skills (verbal, written) and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management and external clients.
- Ability to operate as an effective tactical as well as strategic thinker.
- Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information
- Knowledge of financial reporting and data mining tools such as the full Microsoft Suite of services (Microsoft NAV Dynamics and Power BI knowledge is preferred)
- Strong demonstrated leader with the knowledge and confidence to lead through transitional periods.
