We are looking for energetic, motivated and passionate team members to lead and continue to grow the business and connect with our customers As the Cafe Manager, you will make crafted, creative and delicious products and offer an absolutely exceptional experience for our customers, while also working directly with the owners and the team to create new products, explore creativity, social media and promotion, working with other local businesses and leading the team. **The future of Carte Blanche** We are very excited for the next step in Carte Blanche's growth Our goals and vision for the future includes continuing to offer incredible charcuterie boxes and cafe beverages to the community, while also expanding into the following areas: dine-in, liquor license for sale of specialty beverages and combination with cafe, outdoor patio service, "offsite to go-boxes", sealed box creation for extended delivery / shipping, front store retail development, events booking [parties, gatherings, catering] The Cafe Manager will have the opportunity to lead, grow, and develop these initiatives This role is perfect for someone who has an entrepreneurial spirit, energy and enthusiasm about growth and local business, creativity and passion **Cafe Operations [90% of Role]** - Charcuterie box and dine-in preparation - Coffee-barista - Creating, developing and designing charcuterie boxes layouts, new holiday products, drinks, etc. - Provide a positive, memorable and exceptional experience for each customer - Content creation and brand development - Cleaning, organizing and maintaining great cleanliness/optics - Business to business development and relationship building with other local businesses - Safe Food Handling Certificate is required - Display a great attitude, passion for local small business, enthusiasm and a love of connecting with people - Ordering and supply management/inventory - Manage and supervise staff - Uphold all values and vision of Carte Blanche - Time management, organization and delegation - Available to work mostly daytime hours, but sometimes early morning, evenings or weekends depending on cafe needs - Excellent communication with customers, team, and owners - Attention to detail - Excellent attitude, punctuality and reliability **Business Management [10% of Role]** Accounting and Legal - Proper sorting of receipts or invoices and sending to Accounting Officer - Working with Accounting Officer on prices, vendor details, etc. - Administration - Follow and uphold all policies and procedures - Development of policies and procedures as required Dream and Vision - Foster innovation, ideas and improvement of the site, services, programs and all day-to-day operations - Lead the ongoing development and implementation of vision - Understand the role that each person plays in achieving the overall goals of the organization, foster strong belief and teamwork in achieving those goals - Be creative, innovative and think outside the box to develop and identify new opportunities, improvements, innovations, etc. Human Resources - Development, training, teamwork and employee relations - Scheduling, absence management, time approval Marketing and Communication - Collaborate with Marketing Coordinator - Promote and maintain messaging consistent with Carte Blanche brand - Implement all aspects of promotion at a site level (i.e. staff understanding, site optics, print promotion, pitch and patient education, internal referrals between providers, etc.) - Prompt and professional style of communication Technology and Infrastructure - Maintain functionality of ordering systems like Wix, Skip the Dishes, etc. **365 Leadership** - Creates an inspiring vision of the future. - Motivates and inspires people to engage with that vision. - Manages delivery of the vision. - Coaches and builds a team, so that it is more effective at achieving the vision. - Positive Attitude **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: $57,275.00 per year **Benefits**: - Company pension - Dental care - Disability insurance - Extended health care - Flexible schedule - On-site parking - Paid time off - RRSP match - Store discount - Vision care Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Day shift Application question(s): **Education**: - Secondary School (preferred) **Experience**: - Management: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: One location
