Plumbing Project Manager

**Plumbing Project Manager** is responsible for overseeing and managing plumbing projects from start to finish, ensuring that all aspects of the project are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The role typically includes the following responsibilities:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met
- Organize and schedule plumbing work, ensuring resources and materials are available when needed
**Team Leadership and Supervision**:
- Lead and supervise a team of plumbers, subcontractors, and other related personnel
- Provide training and support to team members, ensuring that safety and quality standards are followed
- Conduct regular progress meetings and report to senior management and clients
**Budget and Cost Management**:
- Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to the budget
- Track and authorize purchase orders for materials and equipment
- Handle negotiations with suppliers and vendors to obtain cost-effective deals
**Quality Control**:
- Ensure plumbing systems are installed to meet codes, standards, and regulations
- Perform inspections and quality checks to ensure work is completed to specifications
- Address and resolve any issues related to quality or compliance
**Safety and Compliance**:
- Implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
- Ensure all plumbing installations comply with local building codes and regulations
- Manage site inspections and ensure all safety regulations are followed
**Problem Solving and Issue Resolution**:
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the construction process
- Address any plumbing-related issues or changes that affect the project's timeline or budget
- Act as the point of contact for clients regarding plumbing concerns
**Client Communication and Relationship Management**:
- Maintain regular communication with clients, updating them on progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction
- Provide reports on project status, timelines, and potential delays
**Documentation and Reporting**:
- Maintain detailed records of project documentation, including contracts, change orders, permits, and inspections
- Prepare project reports, including progress updates, budget status, and forecasts
**Required Skills and Qualifications**:
- Good standing with the College of Trades
- Several years of experience in plumbing and construction, with a focus on project management
- Strong understanding of plumbing codes, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently
- Proficient in project management software and tools
- Problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience with large commercial or industrial plumbing projects
- Certification in Project Management (PMP) or equivalent
- Knowledge of relevant safety standards (OSHA)
The Plumbing Project Manager plays a key role in ensuring that plumbing projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the satisfaction of the client.
Pay: $90,150.00-$97,125.00 per year
