We are looking for a **Payroll Technician** to take on responsibility for updating payroll records, reconciling reports, answering employee questions about payments, as well as administrative tasks.

**What You'll Do**
- Updating employment changes in our payroll system (e.g. terminations, new hires, salaries, status, departments)
- Processing other compensations or deductions (e.g. bonuses, severance pay, taxes, benefit premiums)
- Gathering all the approved information from different sources to prepare a payroll spreadsheet that will be reviewed by payroll supervisor and approved by account manager
- Completing ROEs and other forms as required
- Balancing payroll with total bank withdrawal
- Recording data in our accounting system
- Producing various reports related to payroll upon request
- Answering employee questions about salaries, payments and taxes
- Assisting employees with login issues on the ADP website
- Participating in Year-End activities
- Reconciling and processing third-party remittances for RRSP/WSIB/Ontario Health.
- Support payroll projects, process improvement initiatives, and other duties as assigned
- Administrative tasks will include administrating employee’s travel database
- Plan, organize and coordinate events and off-site meetings
- Manage travel supplier relationships, including research of market sources and vendors, as well as assistance in negotiating supplier contracts and terms.
- Other ad-hoc administrative tasks.

**What You Bring to the Role**
- Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience; Bamboo payroll will be an asset.
- Strong sense of responsibility, reliability and discretion is indispensable;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent knowledge of MS Word and Excel;
- Experience in administrative tasks is an asset;
- Self-starter, autonomous organization of workload, sense of priorities;
- Reliability, professionalism and team spirit;
- Ability to adapt to various situations.
