Chandler -Alarm and Communications is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician who is responsible for installation projects, inspections, maintenance and troubleshooting of fire alarms systems.

**Responsibilities**:

- Preparation, assembly, programming set-up and verification of new fire alarm systems
- Inspection, service and troubleshooting of existing Fire Alarm systems
- Working knowledge of CAN/ULC standards S524, S536 and S537
- CFAA certified would be an asset but not necessary
- Capable of preparing thorough reports and inspection documentation
- Experience in programming fire panels.
- Knowledge of various fire systems;
- Use of specialized test tools.
- Comfortable working at heights on ladders and lifts, in attics and crawl spaces, as well as to lift 50 lbs.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong focus on excellent customer service.
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driver abstract.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with Special Hazards Suppression System would be an asset.

**WHAT SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE SHOULD BRING TO THE TABLE**:

- Minimum 5 years experience in Fire Alarm installations;
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Graduation from a recognized Electronics Program is considered an asset
- Relevant industry experience is considered an asset
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends, holidays and emergency situations
- Working at heights and with ladders
- Ability to travel to other areas of the region when required (not frequent)
- Satisfactory Criminal Background check
- Must have a clean criminal record, and a valid Driver's license.
