**Dental Assistant**: By The Lake Dental was established in 2010, with a patient centric focus, to provide personalized dental services using the latest technologies and highly qualified and dedicate dental professionals. We are seeking a **DENTAL ASSISTANT** for our Ajax office. This position is **FULL TIME** and will report to the Dental Assistant Manager. **RESPONSIBILITIES**: - Welcome, educate, and build relationships with our patients - Prepare operatory for dental procedures including tray set-up - Assist the dentist using four-handed dentistry - Perform dental x-rays, scans. impressions, and diagnostic photographs - Entering treatment in Dentrix, and write patient clinical notes - Be proficient with dental materials used by the dentist for each procedure - Write prescriptions for lab work and follow up with lab cases - Go over consent forms and post operative instructions for each procedure with the patient - "Set Complete" for each appointment to assist front desk with checking patient out - Walk patient to the front desk and confirm with the completed procedures with patient concierge - Request a review from patients - Maintain sterilization process through steri-tracker - Support the clinical team as required - End of day clean up to include stocking operatory, running the lines, wipe down operatory, complete sterilization for the day - Maintain the operatory including keeping them clean and stocked at all times, report malfunctioning equipment, and/or broken instruments - Keep the inventory management system up to date by scanning out sundries as used, and report when items need to be re-ordered - Keep team spotlight up to date **MINIMUM QUALIFCATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS** - Desire to grow within the practice to best support our patient our patient philosophy and values - Strong oral and written communication, as well as interpersonal skills with customer service mindset - Ability to collaborate with others in a team environment - Flexibility to undertake more responsibility when necessary - Bilingual is an asset **SCHEDULE** - Monday-Friday: up to 40 hours per week. - Two Saturday's per month are required - Shifts will include morning, afternoon, and evening **COVID 19 consideration** All COVID protocols of Ontario Public Health are in place.
