**Medical Office Assistant (MOA)**

**Job Type**: full time, permanent (37.5hrs weekly & vacation coverage is a must, _when required_)
**Salary**: $17 - $21, hourly - _based on experience_
**Location**: 200 Boudreau Rd, St. Albert, AB, T8N 6B9

**About Summit Family Clinic**:
We are a busy community-based family clinic nestled on the north side of St. Albert.

**Position Overview & Key Responsibilities**:

- Desk tasks:

- Scheduling & modifying appointments
- Answering phone lines
- Processing forms and payments
- Greet, welcome and check-in patients
- Taking messages
- Patient chart management (scanning documents, verifying demographics, etc.)
- Mail management
- Perform other related duties as required
- Active tasks:

- Handle sensitive medical information and follow regulation regarding confidentiality
- Collect patient vitals (height, weight, blood pressure, etc.)
- Escort patient to exam rooms
- Assist in minor medical procedures
- Prepare & stock exam rooms
- Autoclave maintenance & medical instrument processing
- Inventory & ordering of medical supplies
- Perform other related duties as required

**Computer & Technology**:

- EMR experience, proficiency with Telus CHR is an asset
- Office 365 Suite

**Work Conditions & Physical Capabilities**:

- Ability to stand and sit all day (8 hours)
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs

**Education & Experience**:

- Completion of recognized Medical Office Assistant certificate program
- Chaperone certificate is an asset
- BLS & first aid certificate is an asset
- Minimum two years’ experience in medical clinic operation or equivalent combination of education and experience

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.00-$21.00 per hour

- Secondary School (preferred)
