We are a busy optometrist practice located in the Leaside (Eglinton and Bayview) area of Toronto on the Eglinton Crosstown transit line. We have been in this area for over 40 years so we have a large and loyal patient base. We provide high quality care and service for our patients. We are a team of three doctors and three staff who work together to keep the office running smoothly while servicing our patients with the care that they expect to receive.

Our dispensing area is modern and up-to-date with the latest fashions. We are constantly updating our spectacle and contact lenses offering.

Our office is equipped with Humphrey’s visual field analyzer, Zeiss OCT/fundus photography and a retinal camera.

Our office hours are 9 am to 7 pm Mondays through Thursday and 9 am to 5 pm on Fridays. Our office is closed on weekends and holidays.

As a Receptionist/Optometric Assistant, your work would include:

- answering the telephone, scheduling and confirming appointments
- welcoming patients who visit the clinic
- maintaining safety protocols to prevent the spread of COVID19 and other infections
- accurately recording personal data and communications for medical records
- confidential document management including scanning, record-keeping, and shredding
- finalizing patient invoices and taking payments
- preparing bank deposits and other reports regarding use of products and services
- managing office supplies
- maintain OHIP files and information and OHIP submissions
- backup support for preliminary diagnostic testing
- backup support for frame and sunglass selection, new eyewear delivery, adjustment and repair.
- reception and office administration in an optometrist or medical office
- computer skills
