We are seeking a Part-Time Assistant Superintendent for our apartment building located in Cambridge, ON. This is a live-in position that includes a taxable apartment benefit as compensation. There is no salary associated with this role, however, there is opportunity for additional paid shifts. The required schedule will be every other Thursday & Friday and Every other Saturday & Sunday, various on-call nights are also required. Typical duties include: - Conduct yourself in a friendly and professional manner at all times. - Receive and promptly address residents' concerns. - Show vacant apartments to prospective residents. - Collect rents. - Serving correspondence to residents. - Carry out various administrative duties/paperwork. - Follow a duty schedule ensuring cleanliness of building. - Follow an "on-call" schedule on specified evenings and weekends. - Maintain grounds in tidy "debris-free" condition. - Facilitate work orders and perform minor maintenance. - Monitor activity throughout the building, ensuring residents and their guests adhere to Homestead's policies. - Maintain fire safety logs. - Respond appropriately and professionally to events and/or issues that occur at their worksite (with the support and direction of their Property Manager as required). - Maintain exterior walkways in a safe condition during winter months. Experience an asset, however, we do provide in-house training so you can expand your skillset A satisfactory reference check, criminal records clearance, and proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 are required for the position, though the Company will provide any accommodation required by law.
