Reporting to Operations Director, the HR Coordinator is responsible for providing internal Human Resources support to achieve organizational objectives. This role interacts with individuals across all levels of the organization and provides support to the broad StoreForce team. This role is based in our Toronto office.
**WHAT YOU'LL DO**
**1.** **Employee Relations and Engagement** - Provide support to promote a positive and productive workplace.
- Assists with the development and implementation of strategies to promote a positive organizational culture.
- Supports planning and leads coordination of company events.
- Coordinates and collects employee feedback and compiles data to prepare reports or summaries.
**2.** **Recruitment & Onboarding - **Supports organizational growth through achieving effective people planning activities.
- Manages the recruitment cycle, from screening to final selection, and prepares employment offers and contracts, including background and reference checks.
- Collaborates with the marketing team on recruitment initiatives such as website development, promotional materials, and social media campaigns.
- Provides progress updates to hiring managers and weekly recruitment recap for executives.
- Coordinates and manages the onboarding process for new hires, including employment paperwork and communication with internal teams.
- Serves as a point of contact for new hires and schedules check-ins to answer questions and provide support during onboarding.
**3.** **Talent Management**:Assist in the development and implementation of efficient training programs and performance management processes.
- Identifies training options that align with our continuous learning goal for all roles within StoreForce; Sources external training options.
- Coordinates company training programs, including scheduling, communicating, and tracking training sessions and materials.
- Assists with the development of training materials and courses.
- Coordinates performance review processes and provides guidance to employees.
- Assists with data collection and analysis for succession planning.
- Generates performance reports to track employee performance and identify areas for improvement.
**4.** **Compensation and Benefits Management**: Provides support in the development and administration of employee compensation and benefits programs.
- Administers the organization's benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and termination of benefits.
- Coordinates benefits-related activities and assists with the development and implementation of compensation and benefits policies and procedures.
- Maintains vacation and sick/personal calendar and updates managers on vacation balances.
- Performs various benefits-related tasks, such as distributing EAP articles, submitting RRSP/DPSP contributions, and providing payroll with benefit premiums for Ceridian.
**5.** **Compliance and Policy Management**: Adherence to employment laws and regulations while enforcing HR policies and procedures.
- Research policy requirements and best practices and contributes ideas for policy and procedure updates.
- Prepares policy drafts for review and editing by HR Manager and maintains policy records and employee handbook.
- Sources service provider options to enhance or streamline HR functions and maintains employee records and HR-owned SharePoint folders.
- Provides general administration support, including organizing meetings, preparing or scanning documents, and ordering groceries.
- Maintains and updates organizational charts.
