**ESSENTIAL DUTIES**:

- Identifies clients, presents sales proposals, and closes training and product sales to generate new business for the region
- Builds and maintains key relationships with significant clients of the region
- Assists in the development of sales and marketing materials and presentations to support training and product sales in the region’s catchment area
- Understands and can clearly articulate features for all SJA services and products to help potential clients meet workplace requirements
- Ensures other staff members understand the sales-process, so they are more effective when interacting with customers
- Remains current with competitors’ products and services as well as legislative changes and other business-related aspects that may have an impact on the sales function and / or other related regional activities
- Attends networking / sales events including but not limited to Chamber of Commerce, Trade shows
- Leverage social media platforms to build St. John Ambulance within the Northwest Region to generate training and product sales
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Regional Manager

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE**:

- Post-secondary degree or diploma or equivalent work experience in a relevant area
- Successful experience in sales, marketing and customer service
- Knowledge of the Northwest region community programs related to health and safety
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Strong customer service skills
- Ability to travel within the Northwest region as required

**Other**
- this is a one-year paid internship with the potential for permanent full-time
- valid drivers licence and access to a vehicle is required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Up to $19.50 per hour

Licence/Certification:

- Drivers licence (required)
