**Position Summary**

The Human Resource Manager, in collaboration with the Canadian management team and the corporate HR department, will develop and implement Canadian HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy within a context of building and deploying new facilities.

This seasoned manager will have the opportunity to contribute to the deployment of an organizational culture, a strong employer brand and to mobilize a group of professionals in a start-up context.

**Responsibilities**
- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Supports the development and implementation of HR initiatives, processes, and systems.
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory bodies and standards, conducting audits and reviews of existing health and safety policies, advising employees on safety procedures, conducting training sessions, and addressing incidents and injuries.
- Creates and implement effective onboarding plans.
- Develops training and development programs.
- Assists in performance management processes.
- Maintains employee records (attendance, EEO data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements.
- Leads Labor Relations Committee.
- Reviews employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance.
- Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Maintains compliance with federal, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- A minimum of five (5) years of human resource management experience and proven experience as HR officer, administrator, or other HR position.
- CHRP Certification is a strong asset.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or HR related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
- Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.).
- Entrepreneurial skills.

**Main Job Challenges**
- Structure and deploy the start-up of a new facility.
- Transpose the organizational culture of a foreign company and align it with the local context and policies.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $90,000.00 per year
