**Job Purpose**:
The Maître D’ is responsible for the effective management and successful execution of Weddings and Special Events, making sure to provide event hosts with an experience that exceeds all expectations. This is accomplished by delivering genuine and thoughtful hospitality to our guests, while motivating and leading their team to do the same. Organization and attention to detail regarding room setup, décor, event timeline and food service are imperative. The Maître D’, while being confident and assertive, must also possess the ability to be flexible and remain calm under pressure - understanding that guest experience is of utmost importance. The Maître D’ is the most Senior person in an event room at any given time and is a role model to all the Event Servers, Concierges and Support Staff. Their leadership and professionalism is essential to a well-executed wedding or event.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Act as a liaison between event hosts, guests, management, special events staff and other team members.
- Review upcoming contracts and event set up with Concierges and Event Mangers to ensure it is set up according to the event order specifications and guest instructions.
- Create, manage and communicate to team members a plan of execution for the event, allocating all necessary tasks to appropriate persons.
- Accept and perform additional tasks as required for optimal performance of the restaurant.
- Actively represent and promote Pearle Hospitality’s core values within the workplace.
- Act as an ambassador of Cambridge Mill and Pearle Hospitality.
- Follow company policies and procedures as defined and outlined by Pearle Hospitality.
- Follow all Health and Safety standards to ensure a safe work environment for all guests and team members.
- Adhere to all cleanliness and sanitization practices.
- Maintain professional appearance and act with integrity and honesty.

**What we would like you to bring to the position**:

- Smart Serve Certificate
- Previous event or hospitality experience considered an asset
- **Leadership**: Able to work with a team of people from Front of House and Back of House. Provide guidance and leadership on desired outcomes and expectations for events.
- **Communication**:Ability to communicate effectively with teams, as well as clients, to ensure needs are being met. Ensuring interaction are always cordial, warm, and respectful towards coworkers and clients.
- **Organization**:Remain on top of various events and understanding the many moving parts associated with hosting an event. Understand and develop a schedule for staff for optimal event coordination.
- **Adaptability**:Ability to remain poised and professional in a fast-paced environment and positively interact with a variety of diverse guests and team members.
