- Under the supervision of the tooling project manager of the G7500 program for the customer site responsibility will be to master the assembly phases of the workstations.
- The tool technician must evaluate and analyze the tooling needs necessary for production in accordance with deadlines and budgets allocated to the G7500 program.
- Daily work must at all times meet health standards and security and be in accordance with intra and inter-departmental policies.
- The tooling technician is responsible for launching and monitoring tooling projects in order to ensure their obtained-on time and at the lowest cost.
- Should be response to the needs of the project.
- must also act proactively by evaluating and proposing technical solutions in order to improve various aspects such as productivity, ergonomics, health and safety of workers.

**Responsibilities**:
You will mainly, but not limited to:

- Collect the tooling needs of production and methods, analyze them, criticize them if necessary
- Search for technical solutions that meet the needs by analyzing different options with providers
- Prepare and present projects for validation with different functions
- Lead the meetings and keep the various follow-up files up to date, keep the IPCs up to date
- Manage the activities of the different phases of the projects: feasibility study, project mandate and plan of business, acquisition, implementation and production.
- Manage requests for changes arising during the implementation of projects;
- Develop risk management plans including mitigation plans
- Participate in the continuous improvement of our project management processes.
- Estimate a technical solution based on a need and produce quotes.
- Determine the tooling required according to the production tasks, create and provide the illustrations for the suppliers as well as testing them.
- Approve supplier tooling drawings (CDR).
- Establish and approve changes to tools and tooling drawings and provide support technical.
- Follow up (according to milestones) and rigorously with suppliers.
- Conduct supplier visits or factory visits for suppliers when needed.

**Salary**: $80,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
