**Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality deli products. You will play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction through your attention to detail and commitment to food safety and sanitation standards.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and serve deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Operate the POS system, including Micros POS, for processing customer transactions efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, adhering to sanitation guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items.
- Assist in upselling products to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while following cash handling procedures.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards during food preparation and handling.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow in the deli department.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety practices.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Experience with cashiering is a plus; familiarity with POS systems is advantageous.
