Maintenance and Equipment Manager

**Introduction**
The maintenance and equipment manager will oversee all door production equipment maintenance, ensuring that the equipment is running smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities will include installing and upgrading machines and equipment, identifying the strengths and weaknesses of existing systems, implementing solutions to vulnerable or problem areas, developing and implementing a preventative maintenance program.
**Role**: The Maintenance and Equipment Manager will be responsible for the daily on demand maintenance and all preventative maintenance of door manufacturing equipment at the various Alliance Branches. The Maintenance and Equipment manager will also have input and oversight of the Safety Programs in conjunction with the Operations Directors for each Branch. Oversight of the Safety program will include but not be limited to machine operator training and documentation, LOTO, industrial lift truck safety and general safety on the production floor.
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensure all large equipment (Door equipment and rolling stock) is being properly maintained and serviced
- Develop and implement a sustainable Preventative Maintenance program according to manufacturer specifications
- Coordinate repair work and involve manufacturers service crews as needed
- Assist in assessing needs and creating proposals for equipment additions as required
- Source suitable used equipment and parts as required
- Develop relationships with key equipment Vendors and Contract Services to ensure Alliance's needs are met.
- Oversee, standardize, and support our Safety Programs to protect our people across our branches and ensure ongoing compliance with local safety regulations.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- 10 years of industrial equipment maintenance experience
- Formal Industrial Millwright training desired
- Demonstrated ability (work history) of working on and maintaining industrial equipment in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to build, maintain, train, and execute a preventative maintenance program across all Alliance Door Products locations.
**Travel**: The position will be based in and work out of our Abbotsford, BC location but travel on a regular basis will be required to ADP locations in:
Calgary, Alberta
Edmonton, Alberta
Winnipeg, Manitoba
St Thomas, Ontario
**Reporting**: Director of Operations - Canada
**Hours**: Full Time Monday - Friday - salary position
