**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan and coordinate special events, banquets, and buffets
- Design menus and accurately estimate food requirements and costs
- Prepare and cook a wide variety of meals, including complete dishes and individual items
- Prepare traditional and contemporary **Mexican dishes** with authenticity and consistency
- Accommodate special dietary needs by preparing meals for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Collaborate with dietitians to prepare special meals for patients as needed
- Requisition food ingredients and kitchen supplies as necessary
- Maintain inventory and detailed records of food, supplies, and equipment
- Ensure cleanliness and compliance in all kitchen and food service areas
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper food preparation and handling techniques
- Supervise daily activities of kitchen staff and helpers
- Monitor and maintain food safety and quality standards
- Order kitchen supplies and equipment efficiently
- Oversee the overall operation and organization of the kitchen

**Qualifications**:

- **Proven experience in preparing and cooking authentic Mexican cuisine is a must**:

- Previous experience as a cook or kitchen supervisor
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work in a team-oriented and high-pressure environment
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Cooking: 2 years (preferred)
