This newly created position of will report Quality Assurance Supervisor to the Director of Quality and will examine the product for physical defects, review the drawings and specifications to understand the product requirements, and verify the product's dimensionality and workmanship visually against the drawing and specifications to confirm conformance.

**Quality Assurance Supervisor**

Shift (day): Mon - Thurs 7:30 am - 5pm; Fri 7:30 am - 4pm

**Job Responsibilities and Duties**

**Leadership**:

- Provide leadership and technical support to the QA department and team.
- Establishing priority sequencing for the quality team to meet deadlines and targets.
- _Support Quality Management to ensure the desired department and company deadlines and priorities are met_
- Ensure that records inspection outcomes are completed and accurate, the desired data is being captured and reports for quality performance and non-conformities (KPI).

**Inspect**
- Assisting with regular quality assessments throughout the manufacturing process, from inspecting incoming materials and components to outgoing finished goods products.
- Performing dimensional and visual inspection of precision sheet metal and machined components along with assemblies to customer drawings and specifications.
- Perform receiving inspection, first-off inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection of manufactured product and purchased parts as required.

**Documentation**
- Completed the desired quality documentation and data, on First Article Inspection Report (FAI), PPAP, Quality Performance Reports, Inspection Logs and Records, etc.
- Review Work Orders/travellers for accuracy and completeness, verifying applicable revisions.
- Record inspection activities such as first-off, in-process, incoming, and final inspection results on required records.
- Assist and provide recommendations to update production instructions, inspection procedures, checklists, records, etc.
- Ensure that all WIP, stores, purchased, and/or finished products are identified with the inspection status in every process or area.

**NCR**
- Ensuring that defective material is identified, actioned, and the non-conforming material reports (NCR) are issued.
- Resolve quality-related issues promptly and work with the engineering and production on NCR investigations and process or product improvements.

**Audits**
- Support internal auditing, maintain audit schedule and documents, and support the team during external audits.

**Corrective Action**
- Assist or lead production and management in developing new approaches to solve problems identified during quality activities.
- Assist or lead in investigating manufacturing and/or customer complaints regarding quality and errors, as directed by management and provide solutions and corrective action.
- Work in collaboration with Supervisors to resolve quality issues.

**Process Improvement / Other Duties**
- Assist in improvement opportunities from the analysis of data gathered from the quality operations and records.
- Assist in recommending and/or modifying the existing quality or production standards or process to achieve optimum quality efficiencies.

**Training**
- Provide training to individuals on quality principles, control plans, product inspection, etc.

**Other**
- Enforce company standards regarding quality, safety and security regulations, environmental compliance, and good housekeeping practices.
- Perform other duties within their skill sets as assigned by the Senior and/or Quality Management directive.

**Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education (University or College Degree) in Mechanical / Industrial / Quality engineering or similar disciplines (preferred).
- Minimum of five (5) years of experi
