### Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Service Writer to join our team at ABC Muffler & Hitch Shop. As a Service Writer, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our automotive repair services. Your primary responsibility will be to assist customers with their vehicle service needs, from scheduling appointments to coordinating repairs. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with mechanical knowledge and a passion for customer service to thrive in a fast-paced service environment.

## Responsibilities:

- Greet customers in person and on the phone
- Listen attentively to customers' concerns and accurately document their vehicle issues
- Schedule appointments for vehicle repairs and maintenance
- Communicate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs
- Provide customers with detailed estimates for repairs and obtain necessary approvals
- Explain recommended services and answer any questions or concerns
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions
- Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately

## Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a customer service role
- Knowledge of towing or exhaust is an asset
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive repair processes
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
