**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Operate a commercial vehicle to transport freight to various destinations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Manage all aspects of vehicle maintenance, including performing basic automotive repairs.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and cargo details.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Utilize forklifts or heavy equipment as necessary for loading and unloading freight.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally.

**Skills**
- Proficient in automotive repair techniques to handle minor mechanical issues on the road.
- Strong background in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license and appropriate endorsements.
- Experience in freight handling, including loading, securing, and unloading cargo safely.
- Ability to operate forklifts and heavy equipment efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues independently.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Time management skills to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to schedules.
