Distribution Operations Lead

**Job Summary**:
The Operations Lead Distribution will assist the Branch Manager to maintain high performance objectives for all departmental standards including safety, timeliness, quality/accuracy, security and productivity. This “hands-on” person will be expected to learn and work daily in all areas of the distribution and lead by example. In addition, must maintain a healthy and productive work environment, which fosters teamwork and respect for all employees.

**Job Duties and Essential Functions**:

- Implements and ensures they are following and verifies the accuracy and completeness of all records/documentation activities within the work group.
- Drive compliance with safety, quality and productivity goals in support of warehouse leadership team objectives.
- Execute, lead and implement project work for the site.
- Examines and assesses the workings of an organization to identify and offer solutions to problems and draft procedures for improving operations.
- Identifies workflow/system improvements, advises management on the appropriate courses of action, and works with management and the operations team to enact change.
- Works with analytical teams on highly complex problems and works with employee teams to assist with implementation of proposals.
- Provides support and help, writes documentation, conducts training to reach employees and/or customers to use new or revised systems, and meets with them after implementation of a new process to determine its effectiveness.
- Establish and enforces organization standards, maintaining system integrity and security.
- Works on the communication and implementation of operational strategies, solutions and company policies and procedures to employees.
- Proposes measures to improve methods, performance, and quality of product or services, and suggests changes in working conditions to increase efficiency.
- Defines, documents, and maintains performance metrics, workflow, procedure, and process requirements, and communicates them to team.
- Evaluates current procedures and practices for accomplishing department objectives to develop and implement improved procedures and practices.
- Reviews existing distribution processes: and reviews, recommends, develops and implements improvements to the processes.
- Produces practical solutions in describing requirements, studying system or process capabilities, analyzing alternative solutions, and preparing system specifications, using statistical analysis, simulations, and optimization.
- Trains employees in the proper execution of standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
- Ensures that product is received, and orders are filled and shipped to the stores in a timely manner to maximize customer service.
- Prepares and generates the daily productivity reports (TPR) or management.
- Monitors, Analyze/Investigates and reports on the key performance indicators (KPI’s).
- Participates in the selection of operations employees, promotes a positive, inclusive work environment through effectively communicating and interpreting company policies for employees, coaching and counseling, responding to general inquiries, analyzing and resolving work problems in a timely manner and in accordance with company policies (i.e., open door, progressive discipline effective documentation and follow-up).
- Maintains employment related programs procedures, including health and safety (5s Champion) and housekeeping programs, and cultural programs in order to ensure compliance with the relevant legislation and company policy.
- Perform daily/weekly/monthly inspections of equipment/supplies/employees to ensure all is operational clean and safe. Inform if deficiencies are discovered.
- Trouble shoot shipping/receiving issues and suggest/initiate resolutions.
- Strive to reduce employee errors by working with employees understand job function and how the operation works. Report deficiencies.
- Execute, lead and implement project work for the site

- Conduct and maintain warehouse health, inventory controls, and cycle counts
- Ensure warehouse safety, respect, and cleanliness are promoted
