Instructor - Cyber Security

Biztech College is looking for an experienced ‘Cyber Security Instructor’, whose primary role is to plan, organize and deliver curriculum to students in an instructor led atmosphere both online and in class. In addition, the instructor will assist with activities to support student success, containing internship/Co-op/Job placements, and Industry liaison. The instructor will assist the vision, mission, and values of BizTech College through contributing to a positive, supportive, and student-focused team environment of respect, integrity, and dedication.
**MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES**:
- Ensure that course curriculum is updated, relevant, and reflective of best practices within relevant professional/program disciplines.
- Provide well-structured education, which is well aligned with program requirements.
- Deliver and continually recommend curriculum revision for the improvement of the program. This includes but not limited to improvements relating to multicultural prospective, development of core and technical abilities to meet industry standards and to prepare graduates for successful career.
- Measure and monitor program outcomes and upload grades and comments on the Learning Management System in a timely fashion.
- Prepare and administer quizzes, midterm, and final exams, both didactic and practical lab.
- Prepare curriculum resources including power points, handouts, and other relevant teaching material.
- Assess student achievement of learning outcomes and support student progress through academic counselling and timely feedback.
- Keep the program director informed of all matters related to academic performance and discipline of his/her class students.
- Responsible for supervision of college’s equipment and assets related to the program.
- Follow the College policies and practices related to instruction, assessment, and delivery.
- Assure that students are aware of all relevant learning outcomes, learning strategies and assessment techniques.
- Develop multimedia materials and alternative delivery strategies and incorporate appropriate educational technologies into the learning process.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Campus Director.
**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or communication.
- 1-3 years’ industry experience in Cyber Security Technology.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a teacher.
- Related IT industry certifications are considered an asset, particularly some, or all of the following:
CompTIA A+, Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, CompTIA Project+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Linux+, Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA), CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+), CompTIA Pentest+,
- Knowledge of Python computer programming is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Canvas LMS is considered an asset.
**JOB TYPE**:
Full-time
**WORK HOURS**:
Hours of work will be assigned by the Mississauga Campus, Director of Admissions.
